¡Barcelona!
Este mes tenía un poco más tiempo libre cómo antes entonces decidí a visitar a Barcelona, una de la más grande ciudades en España. Pasaba unos días en la ciudad y a mí me parece que es una ciudad cómo ninguna más; no sólo debido a su propio idioma sino también debido a la cultura y historia. En Barcelona se habla Catalán que antes de llegar pensé que era más o menos Castellano; pero después de haber llegado pronto vi que tiene más en común con francés y verdaderamente es diferente!
Por estar en Barcelona he visto el otro lado de España, aquí en Andalucia existen los estereotípicos de España, por ejemplo: la siesta, la playa, una vida tranquila. Pero Barcelona es completamente diferente, es una ciudad enorme con una cultura de trabajar. Hay muchas empresas grandes y siempre está llena de gente. A mí me parece que habría millones de oportunidades para crecer una empresa en Barcelona en lugar de Andalucia porque la gente tiene una mentalidad diferente.
Es fácil a ver por qué quieren los catalanes su independencia cuando compruebo la diferencia entre Cadiz y Barcelona, y personalmente creo que la independencia va a seguir estando un problema para lo demás de España para muchos años. Por un lado si fuera de Barcelona, me gustaría ver lo que puede pasar a través de independencia pero claro que los problemas de España no se va a solucionar en un día. Por otro lado, deben trabajar juntos todos los españoles a eliminar los problemas con la economía y desempleo, los que son muy evidentes en Andalucia y el sur.
Barcelona!
This month I had a little more free time than before so I decided to visit Barcelona, one of the largest cities in Spain. I spent a few days in the city and to me it is a city like no other; not only because it has its own language but also because of the culture and history. In Barcelona they speak Catalan, which before arriving I thought would be more or less Castilian; but after having arrived I soon realised that it had more in common with French and was truly very different!
By being in Barcelona I have seen the other side of Spain, here in Andalucia many of the Spanish stereotypes are very evident, for example: the siesta, the beach, a calm lifestyle. But Barcelona is completely different, it is an enormous city with a working culture. There are so many large businesses and it is always full with people. To me it seems as if there would be thousands of opportunities for a business to grow in Barcelona instead of in Andalusia because the people have a different mentality.
It is easy to see why the Catalonians want their independence when you compare the difference between Cadiz and Barcelona, and personally I think that this question for independence will continue to be a problem for the rest of Spain for many years to come. On the one hand, if I were from Barcelona I would like to see what we were capable of doing through independence but clearly the problems in Spain would not be solved in a day. On the other hand, everyone in Spain should work together to eliminate the problems with the economy and unemployment, which are very evident in Andalusia and the south in general.
